It's amazing to see God's creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day. Our church family generously give their time, service, talents, and treasures through so many acts of worship, and we invite you to join us in our movement of every day generosity!
Whether it be rocking out with our worship teams, serving with volunteer teams on the weekend, using text-to-give, or dropping some dollars into the Dollars of Hope bucket. Each and every act of generosity matters and helps change the lives of others. Everyone's gifts and service are acts of worship that truly bring us all closer to our Creator!
You can give to Northern Hills by cash, check, automatic draft, or online giving, there are expenses the church incurs to process your contribution. Bank fees associated with debit or credit card contributions are approximately 2.5%. If you choose to increase your giving to cover these fees, the entire amount given would be reflected as a tax-deductible contribution on your quarterly giving statements. However much you choose, and whatever method you choose to give, please know that every gift is gratefully received and wisely used.
As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly to the progress of the gospel in our community and world. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honoring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.
Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organizations and causes that we personally believe in.

IRA CONTRIBUTIONS
If you are age 70 1/2 or older, you can do something special with your IRA while reducing your tax burden: you can transfer up to $100,000 each year from your IRA account to a qualified charity (501c3).
When you make this transfer directly to your charity, you will receive several benefits.
1. You gift counts against your required minimum distribution.
2. The gift does not add to your adjusted gross income so it does not impact future Medicare income calculations, which may lead to higher premiums.
3. Making your gift directly to the charity avoids the percentage limitation on charitable contributions.
Please check with your IRA administrator or your tax advisor for more information about how you can multiply the impact of your IRA.
